What is BOTOX?

How long does the application last?

Do BOTOX applications cause pain? 

There is a very little and short lasting feeling of bite. Following application, there will be no pain. Botox applied area is comforted with cold.

Recovery?

Since it is a simple and fast application that does not require a recovery period and the patient can continue with his/her daily life immediately after the application.

Does it have any side-affects? 

Headache and slight erythema or empurpling could be seen very occasionally, yet they could be easily covered with make-up. Besides all side-effects of BOTOX® are temporary and limited with the area of application, in other words the affect of BOTOX is limited with the area applied and it does not circulate in the body.

Can nursing or pregnant women benefit from BOTOX applications?

Since there are no sufficient medical studies on this issue, application of BOTOX to pregnant or nursing women is not convenient at present.

Is BOTOX noticeable by everyone following application of BOTOX? 

Since BOTOX will become effective within 3-7 days after application, there is no sudden affect.

If I stop BOTOX applications, would my wrinkles worsen?

No. Wrinkles gradually return to their pre-treatment level.

Does BOTOX lead to new wrinkles?

No. BOTOX has no effect like causing wrinkles.

Is it possible to eliminate wrinkles equally with creams instead of BOTOX injection?

No, that is not possible. Creams may nourish, moisturize the skin or accelerate formation of collagen. Creams are applied directly on the skin, so their effects are artificial. BOTOX effectively eliminates dynamic wrinkles.
